President Bush visited the Coast Guard Air
Station on Cape Cod to thank the troops for the great job they were doing
in protecting our shores. On the right is helicopter rescue pilot LCDR Bill
Bellatty - Franklin native and son of Third Selectman Teddy Giles. In this
photo, Bill is giving the President an official station ball cap. Later in
the month, Bill was to have participated in Franklin's Memorial Day Ceremony
by flying over in the USCG rescue chopper. Bad weather kept them fogged in,
but fortunately we were able to come up with alternative entertainment. The
