We had a beautiful spring day for Franklin's 2002 Memorial Day. This year's ceremony was doubly special. Fresh on the heels of  the murderous assaults of September 11, 2001, we had the many victims of that black day to remember along with those who died for our freedom in our county's many wars. Additionally, the town was to unveil our new World War Two, Korean War, and Vietnam Era Veterans Memorial. Present were many of the veterans whose names are to be inscribed on the monument.
