The centerpiece of Franklin in the summer is Georges Pond. It becomes a haven for Franklinians and visitors to enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, and, of course, eagling! We were enjoying an early July morning boat ride when we spotted this handsome bald eagle guarding its breakfast - a big dead pickerel. Yum.
