February 10, 2003 - DOWNEASTAHS ON PILGRIMAGE - Last year, you may remember reading in The Ellsworth American
of the adventures of Lloyd and Bill - two Ellsworthians who participated
in some kind of contest involving flying around the world in a small plane.
In keeping with our motto, "Continuous Improvement or Die",
we are determined to outdo our competition. Starting today, we begin the
heartwarming chronicle of two of Franklin's most beloved characters - Eddy
Jordan and Dick Emery - on their annual goodwill trip to Daytona Beach, Florida.
Having had enough of winter (for the time being), our two samaritans set
forth last Friday with the purpose of their journey being to perform random
acts of charity and kindness along the eastern seaboard. Accompanying them
is a member of the staff of The Tugwassah Tattlah, who shall remain
nameless for now. He will be sending back daily reports of the journey's
progress and, through the miracle of modern digital photography, pictures
of the wholesome activities of our heroes. As with anything you may see in
The Tugwassah Tattlah, you may be assured that truth and accuracy
in our reporting is our paramount goal. Be sure to check in frequently as
