Spring in Maine always takes its sweet time in arriving, but there are always signs of it's imminence. (Sentence writer - FIRED!)
One of those signs is when the eider ducks in Taunton Bay begin to raft up. Other signs are crows with nesting materials in their bills and sounds like the chirping of courting birds and the soft whooshing of the wings of northbound Canadian geese. One sound in particular fills the spring Franklin air.........
