Ok, now what does this have to do with anything?
Well, of course, we're about to explain. This is the beloved American
comedian Red Skelton as one of his most famous TV characters. No, it's
not Clem Kaddidlehopper. He's dressed up to play Junior, the Mean
Widdle Kid. Now most of you older folks will remember that Junior used
to set himself up to get in trouble by contemplating doing something
terrible - like putting Exlax in his little brother's chocolate milk.
He would always preface the dastardly deed with the words. "If I dood
it, I dit a whippin'......(pause while considering the pleasure of the
act versus the consequences)......I DOOD IT!" And then he did it. Well,
one recent day in good old Franklin, there were a couple of yowlin's on
their way home from an "I DOOD IT" when Carolyn Cossette caught them
with her camera. They might not have received a whippin', but we bet
they got......... |
