The members of the Franklin Veterans Club decided it was time to say goodbye to Franklin's ancient and unreliable town water system. And so, the well drilling outfit was on station in on this cold day in late December. At 80 feet, they struck ledge and at 420 feet, they finally struck water. Now the Vets Club has plenty of water and, with their big generator, they can be completely self sufficient in the case of a natural catastrophe - like an ice storm. It was a really cold when they drilled this well.........
