The organizers of the Franklin Veterans Club GI
Breakfast readily acknowledged that they couldn't have pulled it off
without the help of the sailors from the U. S. Navy's NAVSOC Detachment
ALFA in Prospect Harbor. These three hardy sea dogs manned the scullery
for the duration of the meal. No paper plates or plastic tableware
here! They stayed on top of the situation and ensured that there was
always an ample supply of clean trays and utensils on the serving line.
