What, you might ask, is a rotogravure? It's mentioned in the lyrics of Irving Berlin's "Easter Parade":
"On the avenue, Fifth Avenue, the photographers will snap us,
And you'll find that you're in the rotogravure ."

In the early days of 20th century newspapers, pictures were printed in the paper by a process known as "rotogravure". Eventually, newspapers featured entire sections of nothing but pictures, which became known as "the rotogravure". So the answer is, it's a bunch of pictures we took around Franklin. Just click on the thumbnail images to go to a page with a large picture and stupid commentary. We'll keep changing them from time to time, so be sure to download any you like because once they're gone, they're gone forever. Also, if you have any pictures you'd like us to put in the Digital Rotogravure, please send them in as attachments to an e-mail by clicking here. We can't guarantee we'll use every picture, but we will certainly try.
