all started when your webmaster, on a whim, decided to apply for a
Maine Moose Hunting Permit. "What really are my chances?", he thought.
After all, there would be only 2,825 permits awarded to
the over
60,000 hunters applying. And then he thought no more about it. Until,
that is, people started calling to congratulate him on being
drawn for a bull permit. The mission then became to assemble a team and
to scout for a bull moose. The permit was for hunting in Wildlife
Management District (WMD) 28 (see below) during the second week of
October. The
moose hunting party was to consist of three men of equal importance.
