| Since we have no schools of our own in the Town of Franklin, we farm our kids out to other schools in the area. All Franklin high school students must attend Sumner Memorial High School in Sullivan, unless their parents are willing to pay FULL TUITION for them to go to school elsewhere. However, such is not the case with grammar school children. Although most go to Union 96's Mountain View (K-8) in Sullivan, there is no requirement for them to do so. Franklin may pay equivalent tuition if you choose to send your children to some other K-8 school. The rules are complicated and, for all the details, you should call the Franklin Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Henry Ashmore at 565-3805.
